I admit it, I laughed at the idea of Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist in The World is Not Enough. Not because she was hot, but because she appeared to be a moron. I was actually distracted by how stupid she seemed. (I say this as someone who watched this movie as a 19-year-old straight male. I also happened to be in college studying to be a physicist, but still...)

I guess I'm biased, because as a professional scientist, I hang out with hot, smart women all the time.

Oh man you just had to mention Dr Jones didn't you, the subject of one of the worst Bond puns ever in the closing moments of the movie.

It's easy math; Smart = Sexy

My amazing bride, my little boy's Mama, and my best friend (all the same person, BTW) has a PhD, is shockingly well read, kicks my sorry butt at Jeopardy and Scrabble and is about 300 times smarter than me. I have no idea what she sees in a relative trilobite like ME, but I'm not complaining!
