Poop Explosion Ad
You might think this is a Saturday Night Live sketch, but it’s really an Australian ad for diapers.
It’s pretty hilarious, and appeals to my love of scatological humor. Anyone who is grossed out by this must not have kids. While this is exaggerated, every parent has experienced a “poop out.” But, can you imagine the uproar this ad would cause here in the U.S.?
What’s the resale value on this car now?

Thanks for this! In our house, we call it a “poopsplosion.”
I don’t think Americans would make an ad that portrayed an actual bodily function. That would require admitting that we have them.

At our house, it’s called a “poonami.”
Great ad, but would never appear on oh-so-coy American t.v.

Oh my, I laugh every time I replay it! Thanks!
(And I agree – I doubt even the relatively polite #2 would, uh, pass on American TV.)

Wow. Any chance to bash ourselves. Fascinating.

When we had to put our son in the tub and use the shower head to hose him down (and do and emergency load of all of his clothes and my husband’s clothes) we called it “The Apoocalypse”.
That ad was hilarious!

Yes… memories of The Apoocalypse still haunt me. Junior was surprisingly kosher with the shower head hosing off his back side.
Prune juice… pfah. “A warrior’s drink” my arse.
